Baby {L} Lazy Sunday Photo Session
I LOVED taking pictures of this little guy!! He wasn't worried about me making him look fat or silly with his little boy spit bubbles.

Slice of Life Saturday: Church Wedding
On Saturday, I went to my local church building as a favor (4 hours of just shooting time...quite the favor) for some members of our church. Their step-daughter had gotten married the last week of July and they wanted to have a reception for her more locally.
I met the bride that day and she was such a delightful person. I wish that she didn't like so far away because I think her and I would have made great friends. She was such a sweet, giving, genuine person and I feel so blessed that I was able to meet her.
This is the bride and her father before he walked her down the "aisle". They had a quick ring ceremony for the guests.
I'm working on editing more pictures. I've been dealing with some home improvement drama lately and my time is very limited. Hopefully I will start having more time very soon!

Slice of Life Saturday: Friends and the Temple
My husband and I had the chance to go to the temple today and watch two of our friends get sealed to one another. That basically means that in the LDS religion, they are married for the rest of forever. We were gathered there with other friends and their family members. I whipped out my camera when we got outside since...you know...I can't live without it. They already had a photographer so...no pressure.
It is so wonderful to think that they are going to be a family forever.

Slice of Life Saturday: Dee's Birthday Pictures
Dee is a super wonderful person. She will drop anything to help a friend and sacrifice her time and sleep for anyone that she loves. Even if she wasn't my only sister-in-law, she would be my favorite. You'll never meet someone as caring and giving as her. She had a birthday and I wanted to mark it by taking pictures of her to prove that she is as beautiful on the outside, as she is on the inside.
This is just a sneak peek but I hope you enjoy.
More to come!

Pioneer Day Parade
I wasn't intending on going to the Pioneer Day Parade since it was on Monday and my husband had work. But some church friends invited me to go with them and who am I to say no to a new experience?
It was about as amazing as an parade in Ogden...mostly advertisements and not really about the holiday. What really made it great, were the kids. Somethings are better with children there. There excitement makes you excited.
I don't know who this Ballard guy is, but his balloons were a total hit with these kids!

Head Shots: Daniel's Mission
I took these photos ages ago and I haven't been that satisfied with them. Mostly because I want them to be totally perfect for my brother. I love this boy so much! My parents asked me to take pictures for him to send in with his mission papers and so him and I went out and had tons of fun.
This was the one that he sent in with his papers. I love that he is wearing the tie that our aunt gave him when he graduated. She is so close to us and I think it was so special for him to be able to have her be a tangible part of him going on a mission because she was a very real part of him preparing to go.
A little over a month ago he got the letter telling him that he will be serving in Paris, France for 2 years! We are so happy for him but a little surprised that it wasn't an Asian country. We are going to miss him so much but we couldn't be more excited for him!
I love that my brother is such a ham. He felt a little silly being in front of the camera and so I enjoyed taking pictures of him being himself and sneaking pictures of moments where he is as handsome as he is in my mind.

Dispatch From the Road
I'm with my family in California at the moment...which is awesome. I always end up on vacation it seems. I went on a walk with my husband to just explore and of course, I brought my camera.
I'm sure that I will get tons of pictures to share...and if I don't, it is because I'm having too much fun! :) Happy Summer!
I gave my husband a lot of directions to get this picture of me and I'm kind of in love with it. |

Wild Flowers
I have tons of what most people would call "weeds" in my backyard but what my great grandpa would call "volunteers". They are pretty lovely and I thought it was time to play with some macro lenses that I had and get some pictures of the flowers. Enjoy!
Are any of you enjoying summer flowers in your backyard? |
