I had never taken any newborn photos before and I was so happy when a woman at my church agreed to let me practice on her brand new baby.

I'm going to need a little more practice but I think for my first time, not so bad.

Sneak Preview: Baby {W}

I've never ever taken newborn photos. To tell the truth, I've been a little scared to try them since I've never had a newborn and I'm TERRIFIED of breaking them.
A couple weeks ago, I got the courage to ask a really lovely woman at my church if I could take some photos of her baby when he arrived. Clearly she said yes and let me come to her home today and fumble my way through a photo session with her adorable baby boy.

He is such a beautiful little baby and I'm so excited to finish working on these pictures.

Puppies in the Snow

I took my puppies out for a couple minutes today to have some fun. They loved being outside and playing in the yard.

My dear friends, Clarise and Geoff, were married on December 28th in Houston, TX. I'm so lucky that I was able to take pictures at the temple that day.

Slice of Life Saturday: Friends and the Temple

My husband and I had the chance to go to the temple today and watch two of our friends get sealed to one another.  That basically means that in the LDS religion, they are married for the rest of forever.  We were gathered there with other friends and their family members.  I whipped out my camera when we got outside since...you know...I can't live without it.  They already had a photographer so...no pressure.

It is so wonderful to think that they are going to be a family forever.

Pioneer Day Parade

I wasn't intending on going to the Pioneer Day Parade since it was on Monday and my husband had work.  But some church friends invited me to go with them and who am I to say no to a new experience?
It was about as amazing as an parade in Ogden...mostly advertisements and not really about the holiday.  What really made it great, were the kids.  Somethings are better with children there.  There excitement makes you excited.

I don't know who this Ballard guy is, but his balloons were a total hit with these kids!

I spent Saturday at a Reunion and that was pretty much awesome.

Bohemian Out Takes

I feel like I've really been neglecting this blog.  Since I have been taking pictures in huge amounts lately, they have all ended up on my Candid Joy Photography Facebook page and this blog has been left with nothing.

SAD DAY!  I guess I need to be posting smaller things more often or at least redirect you to that page.

For your enjoyment, I will show you two pictures that didn't make the grade and get into the Bohemian Photoshoot Album.
This image was suppose to be her chasing her hat that had blown away in the wind but it looks more like she threw it.

This sweet dear was moving through the water and she looked up at me so I snapped the picture. I love her face but it didn't seem to fit the rest of the album. I love the background as well.

Slice of Life Saturday: Warm Weather

This wasn't the weather today...but I like to remember the good times.  On Tuesday of this week it was so wonderful and warm.  It felt like Spring was finally here!  But alas...there is a snow storm coming tonight so it is far behind us again.
But I got to enjoy the weather with my puppies.
