The other day while I was thrift shopping, I found some super cute child sized furniture. So like every other DIY aspiring photographer, I took them home and spray painted them.
Luckily, since I was already doing baby {H}'s cake smash, I just asked to borrow him for a little longer.
What I love about this first picture: He is practicing his language skills and he just started signing "phone". He was so tickled when he signed "phone" to his mom and he got a phone! Words are magic.
I love my dad. I know that that can be a common feeling but I want to put it out there anyway. I love him. He is the greatest example of what a man should be in my life. He has photographed me my whole life. When I was a baby and as I got bigger. On holidays, at birthdays, on vacation and all over the world. It was an honor to get the chance to take pictures on him.

My father is a very interesting man who has had the opportunity to travel the world and collect interesting things from all of these trips. But I know what he treasures most of all.

Nothing is more important to my father than family...especially his family.
I love my dad with all of my heart. He is one of the greatest men that I've ever met and I even used him as the Gold Standard for finding a husband. If there is one man that I want to capture through photography, it is him.
And I got the chance to have a crack at it while I was in Texas for my brother's graduation.
Hopefully this is the beginning of a million photo essays dedicated to my dad.
